Blood Tests / Phlebotomy

All patients can access blood tests, please either by going online  or telephone 01702 746065 between 7:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). There are no blood tests routinely offered by Kingswood Medical Centre at this time.

Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Management

The surgery is committed to health promotion and the management of chronic disease. 

  • Chronic Disease Management
  • Immunisation Clinics for prevention of diseases
  • Family Planning appointments - coil/ implant fittings
  • Screening appointments – cervical smears
  • Smoking – help/support to stop/reduce
  • Joint Injections (if appropriate)

Social Prescribing

Referrals

  • Referrals can be made for anyone from the age of 12 and above who would benefit from social prescribing
  • Referral criteria:
  • Poor mental wellbeing affected by social circumstances
  • Frequent attender GP/NHS
  • Frequent DNA
  • Mild to moderate depression or anxiety
  • Isolated or lonely
  • Long term physical/mental health conditions
  • Short term support (6-8 sessions)
  • Mostly telephone support but face-to-face when needed
  • Community navigation post COVID
